Viridian Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Viridian collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using Viridian, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: name, email address, password, and profile details you choose to add. We verify email addresses before full access is granted.
• Payment information: when you purchase a workout plan or subscribe to a coach/creator, Apple or Google (via in-app billing) and RevenueCat process the purchase. Stripe processes creator/coach payouts. Viridian does not store full card numbers.
• Workout and fitness data: exercises, reps, sets, weights, routines, progress logs, bodyweight entries, and any notes you enter.
• Media you upload: profile photos, feed posts, stories, check-in photos, form-check videos/photos, and similar content you choose to share.
• Communications: messages you send to support, or to coaches/creators through the App (if applicable).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device and usage data: device type, operating system, and app version. Viridian does not use third-party crash reporting or analytics SDKs.
• Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications, we store a device token (via Expo) so we can deliver them.

1.3 Information From Third Parties

• Purchase and entitlement confirmation data from Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
• Payout and identity data Stripe needs when you onboard as a creator/coach for payouts.

Viridian accounts may be created with email and password, or by signing in with Apple, Google, Meta (Facebook), or X (Twitter). When you sign in with a third-party provider, we receive your name, email, and profile picture (if available) from that provider to create or link your account. We do not receive or store your password from these providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage your account, including email verification
• Process purchases and subscription payments, including payouts to coaches/creators
• Deliver workout content and track your progress
• Provide optional AI features (such as form-check feedback and coaching insights) by sending relevant workout or media context to our AI service providers
• Provide customer support
• Send transactional communications (verification emails, receipts, password resets, service updates)
• Send marketing communications, where permitted, which you can opt out of at any time
• Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the App
• Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting for creator payouts)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to operate Viridian:

• Coaches/Creators: if you subscribe to a coach or creator, they may see your name, workout progress, and activity related to their content, so they can provide their service.
• Service providers: payment processors, cloud hosting, analytics providers, and customer support tools, who are contractually required to protect your data.
• Legal and safety: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Viridian, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: if Viridian is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App, comply with legal obligations (such as tax records related to creator payments), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and personal information
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Object to or restrict certain processing

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@Viridianfitness.ca, or delete your account in the App (Settings / Edit Profile). If you are in the EU/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined by California law). We do not sell personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

Viridian is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK, where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

8. International Users

If you access Viridian from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to and processed in British Columbia, Canada, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Viridian does not currently use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel) to track you across apps or websites.

To operate the App and this site, we may use:

• Push notification services (via Expo) so we can send you notifications you have opted into
• In-app purchase services (Apple, Google, and RevenueCat) to process plan and subscription purchases
• Stripe for creator payouts (not for storing your card numbers)
• Cloud hosting and object storage (including Cloudflare R2) to run the App and store uploads such as profile images, posts, and form-check media
• AI service providers to generate optional form-check feedback and coaching insights from content you submit for that purpose
• Email delivery providers to send verification, password reset, and other transactional messages
• This website, which may load fonts or other assets from third-party CDNs; those providers may receive your IP address when the page loads

You can control push notifications in your device settings. Store purchases and subscriptions are managed through your Apple or Google account settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email, and update the "Last Updated" date above.
